IIM SharePoint Sales Engineer

DocPoint Solutions is seeking an IIM SharePoint Sales Engineer with broad technological knowledge and the ability to speak to SharePoint solutions by mapping common customer business problems to end-to-end technology solutions.

Based out of San Diego, the IIM SharePoint Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in the complete sales-solution lifecycle support including: presale efforts, assistance with responding to RFPs, designing/supporting solutions at a high level and envisioning follow up technical needs. The position requires excellent communication skills, being comfortable with public speaking/presentation sessions, the ability to work with strong sales team, developers, IT admins, Project Managers and SharePoint System Architects.

 

Duties include:

  • Coordinate Closely with Sales via the IIM Regional Professional Services Manager – Maintain a high degree of contact with other sales, operations and development teams. Provide technical assistance, product education/training, and produce support material for the Professional Services team, as needed.
  • Client Requirements – Identify and build relationships with key customers and decision-makers. Manage the customer relationship by communicating SharePoint architecture standards and frameworks, answering questions, and resolving concerns/issues.

  • Technical Proposal / RFP Preparation – Responsible for assisting in the technical RFI/RFP process and the final response. Duties include pre-bid meetings, phone conferences, technical response, etc.
  • Pre-Implementation Activities – Responsible to participate in the final review of the Functional Requirements Document, comparing expectations to the proposed delivered results.
