As of July 14, 2026, Microsoft has ended extended support for both SharePoint Server 2016 and SharePoint Server 2019. Organizations still running these platforms will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or Microsoft support.

What does this mean?

  • Increased security and compliance risk
  • Greater exposure to vulnerabilities and downtime
  • Higher maintenance costs for legacy environments
  • No future updates or Microsoft support

The good news? You still have options.

Modernize your environment and future-proof your collaboration platform

  • Migrate to SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365)
  • Upgrade to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE)
  • Modernize workflows and replace legacy customizations
  • Assess SharePoint Add-Ins, Azure ACS dependencies, and aging workflows before they become larger challenges

At DocPoint Solutions, we’ve been helping organizations prepare for this transition through SharePoint assessments, migration planning, workflow modernization, and records management strategies.

If your organization is still evaluating its next steps, now is the time to have that conversation. Let’s talk about your roadmap and identify the best path forward.
